They are extremely common over here - you can buy a '94 for around A$15K (US$10-11K) - grey market imports from Japan. NZ951 might have something to say about the proliferation of Japanese grey imports over in New Zealand - they killed the market over there!

They sure did! Overnight almost. But that same Skyline costs a third less here... due to your import tarriffs. But we have no local car manufacturers now. Hard to say what is better for a country our size.

Yes and no - it's a Ford Falcon XL6 ute, not an 8 - but 4L 6 cyl, twin cam 24 valve 180-odd KW. It's the best Ford I've ever had, but that's not saying much...

you'll never guess what i ran with tonight...bugger it, i can't guess either. i thought it looked like a ferrari 360, but now i'm not so sure, looking at photos on the web. it looked like a pretty new design, whatever it was. it looked like the 360s on the web, but the rear was all black and carbon-fibre looking, rather than the painted surface in the photos.

he got on it a few times, but i don't think he was trying that hard though, i could keep up quite easily (dark winding road, poor lighting, i guess he was a bit nervous). sounded awesome though, could really hear his engine winding up.
