Thinking out loud here but is it possible on the later cars to relocate the forward inner control arm mount to level up the arm just like the factory did on the GTP’s?

Hi Mike,

I think this would be possible, but the tricky part is that the steering rack also has to be raised if the inner pickup points are raised. This would require a shortened steering shaft at minimum, and if the car has power steering the hoses would also need to be altered. All of this is doable, but might not be easy or inexpensive within the tight confines of the 951 platform.

And this is certainly reversible, but my engine is lowered so clearance to the rack is already less than OE

I was only addressing the leveling of the arms by the method Porsche used and not the raising of the rack. I don’t think there is a requirement to raise the later racks where just a bump steer kit would suffice.

Anyway I digress again, apologies to op for steering this ot. Hope you find your pins

Either way I completely agree with you in that we're buying these arms that are geometry correcting and they even offer the pins but no one seems to have them So kind of feeling at a loss here after spending almost $2,000 on control arms

Well as I stated in post 5, I have a Machinest that can make anything so as soon as I measure what my correction need is and determine what the preferred material is, I will own some. No reason to go thi$ far and not be able to complete the journey.

@chudson ,
Let me know if you are getting custom ones made, more than happy to help contribute for or just pay whatever the cost is if it's somewhat reasonable

Kev sorry, I failed to check this after my last post. I was able to find 2 extended length pins and some spacers. In anticipation of your next question, he just happened to have these and no, he doesn’t have any more or I would have purchased all that he had. My Machinest is still willing to make some but the cost is unsure. He always states this before he starts your project:

”Remember now, it you can purchase these anywhere, that will be cheaper than having me make them...”

PM me if you want additional details

Cliff
