Default Aluminum Expansion Tank

I want to replace my expansion tank. If I recall, Huntley used to sell an aluminum expansion tank. Does anyone know where I can get one, and are they any good?
Thanks,

I'll sell you mine (from Huntley) for $150 plus shipping. I never installed it because A. It didnt come with a threaded nipple for one of the holes (so a hose can be clamped on) and B. It didnt seem like it had enough holes in it for hoses. I called up and they insisted that they had installed this part on many 944 turbos before without problems, and mine is an 86, so maybe i just didnt ever have my water hoses updated to the later years. Ill post pics later if anyone wants them.

Please post pics. I had ordered one from Derek too, but alas he never delivered it to me (go figure). I would like one too, and seeing as yours looks to be sold already, I may fabricate one myself once my TIG is up and running.

Indeed you are missing a hose inlet/outlet, right where the circle in magic marker says it should be. Lazy *** fabricator and seller (again, go figure).

I wanted one to make a self bleeding coolant system incorporating a swirl pot. I was going to have a -4 AN fitting welded to the tank which would vent air from a swirl pot. I happened to luck out and get a swirl pot that Milledge had laying around.

Mark, if you end up not selling it due to it's defect, I'll still buy it. I am probably going to run some -12 or -16 AN fittings anyway. So the lack of that fitting doesn't pose too much of a problem.

actually, the missing line is for people who have deleted the turbo water pump / etc.

i run a dry turbo. therefore i bought an NA expansion tank. so be careful before blaming a 'lazy fab' when it was probably intentional (many race cars run dry setups, and huntley was pretty race-oriented).

Still, wouldn't you agree that they should realize that some buyers would need the extra nipple? They advertized it as "fits all 944, 951, and 968 models". Then they acted like I was crazy when I called to complain.
