I seriously doubt Tim would sell a wastegate with over a 1 bar spring. I would guess .8, mine is .6

The LBE did not have part of it either, sorry but its you! Its not like it failed or anything... anyways to the problem at hand

Ummmm if you are consistently hitting 1.3i, and you dont have a boost controller in, I think it would have to be a leak? Or you really do have a 1.3 bar spring. As Sam said, I dont think Tim would have give you a spring greater than 1.0. I would stay off boost unless your fuel is tuned for 1.3, that is your Whatever Stage 2 chips. Do you have a AF gauge that can tell the voltage or ratio? If it reads fine, then enjoy your 1.3 if you like that boost level! If not, you will do another HG soon enough or worse. Is your boost gauge accurate also?

all of my gauges are autometer. I have a A/F meter by autometer and the arm1. I am just saying what the mechanic told me about the LBE and the wastegate did it. The guy took off the LBE and i have nothing to control boost now. I was going to look into a EBC or reliaboost. Which one do you think money wise

lol you need more than 1.3 bar of boost? You dont need any if you are worried about the level of boost now (assuming). You cannot produce less boost than the spring rate in the WG with a boost controller. Only more... I would ask Tim about the spring rate, I think they are colour coded for size. You are better off with a MBC in my opnion. Altering boost is not a on the spot thing when you have fixed chips mapping fuel and timing.

Daniel,

The spring rate should be listed o the side of the box the wastegate came in. I believe you got a .8 bar spring. You can run a line directly from the banjo bolt to the side port with no tees, controllers or restictors and you should see .8 bar of boost. This test will tell you if it is a controller problem or a wastegate problem. I have yet to see it be a wastegate problem.

What Tims said sounds about right...

PS Tim, I bought second hand one your your stage 3's. It came with a bend stud. Are they the same on the existing k26's? Or do I need a special one? If so, can I order one off you?
