Custom CNC fitting to recirculate oil back into oil pan from catch can....
Here it is...
Up until now I was using a modifed oil level sender (drilled and tapped)... but it doesn't work well and leaks a little since you can't thread in a NPT fitting very well because the "meat" of the flange is offset too far.
That is until now...
Here's the new fitting. This will allow a 3/8" NPT fitting on the outside AND inside, thus allowing a 90 to be used in the oil pan to ensure that the drain opening is never above the oil level.
Just in today...

Anyone know what the p/n for the triangular gasket is? I could really use one!

keith & B951S,
Calll Lorenzo at L&M Machine. 661.257.4840 Tell him Tony the Porsche guy sent you. He did the program for the cnc, so making more is a breeze.

Nice piece, so did you give up the oil level sender?
PS: I've never used that gasket, use loctite 574 (that is porsche glue isn't it, the orange stuff) instead. No leaks...

Or you could try Hylomar. That's what I have on mine and it has worked for 2 years.
Nice piece Tony, I just cut a piece of 1/2" plate when I did mine. Ugly but effective.

Copper tubing? Tony – I’m surprised, you usually do better than that!
Seriously – the copper tubing will work harden from vibration/heat and eventually crack.

I've been using copper tubing for years and years on many cars and have never once had a problem.
Not saying that I couldn't happen, but I've never witnessed a problem.
I've used it on for 20 years on oil pressure gauges. Not once, on any of the cars, has there ever been a problem. Thus my decision to use it for the oil catch can.

I am 50% through making one that was going to drain via a valve. If I could tap it into the oil level sender, which I always monitor anyway, that would be great! I did not want to give up my pressure gauge. Little help T?
