It is just a freakin wiper blade, loads of people make them like that, the trade off is that they lift at high speed (like over 100 but you probably shouldnt be driving that fast in the rain anyhow!)

The other assemblies look like wiper blades! If it is a 19 is will be a 40719A if it is a 21 it should be a 40721A and so on, they do have winter blades which are sheathed to protect from feezing as well.

What you want to do is eliminate the ugly "downforce" wing on it.

When I bought my car it had the stock North American skinny Bosch wiper blades. The paint waas also chipped to hell.

I masked off the blades (bought new teflon ones) and spray painted all the wipers.

I also bought those clip on wind deflector/downforce thingys for like, $5 at Canadian Tire. When it's nice out, they're off, when it's pouring, they clip on.

Hmmm...just a thought but I wonder if other P-cars share the same length blade as we do. I'm guessing the newer 993/996/boxter line would have nicer blades that you could pick up from a salvage yard if you really wanted to. Attachment should be the same manner.

" Anyone done anything with them before? Retro fit late model 911 ones? "

Yes that is the question I asked.

I have seen pictures of a yellow 968 turbo with a "cowl" that extended from the hood up and covered the wipers.

Anybody seen this in person ? It looked pretty good in the picture.

So.. if we can't find small wipers just cover the whole assembly up.

AHHHHHH, all you have to do if you are in North America is take your butt down to Autozone and buy the right length wiper assembly. Do you guys need me to look up the part number or buy a **** load of them and send them as needed?

Nah ! I have the Bosch Micro wipers, I just think it would be nice not to have any wiper showing.

Another topic all together, but why run on the street, or DE for that matter, with the tow hook in place? If you hit something, wouldn't the damage be worse due to concentration of the force on such a small area? I have gone back and forth on this myself. Ideas?

Wipers: I had to drop my wing b/c it was scraping the glass. The car look much better with them off altogether, but 'tis oft wet here. Great look for a garage queen though.

All turbos as I know came with the aero-down force wing on the drivers side
most people when they changed their wipers had to toss that part of the arm
and replace the whole piece. I being the **** sole that I am actually took the time to replace only the rubber/metal blade. It took about 30 mins. I did it
to maintain the stock look. If I had to change it now I would say F#$% it ...:-)

Ed
