i have 550# springs in my coilovers and it isnt anything horrible, i have been driving it every day for a week back and forth to the shop... i also have a proper alignment and ride height set up after the parts were installed though.

yeah, i had 680lb springs on my rsx-s and it was stiff but not unbearable, I drove it over 20k miles that way, never had a problem, nothing ever broke, and after maybe the first 2-300 of which, even my (ex) g-f said she hardly noticed the difference... plz don't think we're trying to accuse you, but it does sound like installer/user error?

#1 I bought the car like this and have only driven it 200 miles. 2 once you get over about 300 lbs on springs the car is going to porpoise, if you don,t believe me ask TonyG his does as well. Trust me I know all about dual purpose street/track cars and what they ride like. I have simply posted an observation and will see what it takes to make this liveable. The p/o simply had it dropped too far and I just wanted to vent. Btw I have a set of 250lb springs for a turbo car lowers the car about an inch and if anyone's interested a set of 400 lb coil over springs as I'm going to drop the rate to 3-325.

I think your problem is:
The konis are WAY underdamped for your springs, alignment is off, shocks are dead.
Or a combination of the above, except I'm positive of the konis being less than ideal unless they've been reworked.

koni's are good the p/o sent receipts as far as being under damped yeah no doubt that's why in my first post I said I was going to move to bilsteins. koni's are a good shock but until you have a set of properly valved bilsteins vs properly valved koni's I'll take bilsteins everyday. I don't know if I even want to bother re-valving these. The alignn. is def. suspect as well, i'll post feedback later in the week after I raise the ride height and re-align.
