SOLVED - Trying to identify what and where these items go to...
This first vacuum line is coming off of the brake booster. Is it suppose to attach to something?
I’m using this diagram (thank you to whine ever created this) to route my vacuum lines correctly. The car has a Venturi and cyclic valve delete. Would anyone know what the component is that I circled green?
These 2 prongs sticking out are underneath the intake manifold. I’m running a manual boost controller with a bypassed cyclic valve. Is this part of the cyclic valve and can be ignored?
This orange tube runs behind the firewall. It is currently disconnected. Is it part of the vacuum system?
Thanks guys! Fun weekend projects ahead :-)

The double ended part under the intake is still attached in the system on my car and I am running a manual boost controller and no cycling valve. It opens a coolant line when under vac...if I am thinking correctly....I forget the exact function.
The part you circled in green is the two-pronged "bunny ears" part you ask about in the next picture. This is a valve that opens after a certain temperature to let vacuum through for the purpose of controlling that black&white disk it attaches to (part of the EVAP system)
ah ha...thanks I could not quite remember and I new temp was part of it.

gruhsy - thanks for response and picture! Big help :-). Dan Martinic - thanks for the response! I will connect the bunny ears prong and research EVAP. Is that related to SMOG?
For the 2 prong bunny ears, do you guys know which one goes to the Fuel Vapor Purge system and which one goes underneath the intake manifold boot?
Still trying to figure out the brake booster line. (picture one)
I'm just wondering if that white piece you've got is the same "check valve".. perhaps older version?
Oh yeah :-). It could very will be! Hopefully someone else chimes in. She is a 1987.
i used wd40 on my intake manifold and “Porsche” lettering. It did a huge difference :-).
I like the cruise control delete. Might start on that tomorrow :-). I need to fix my odometer also so I could remove the cruise lever by the steering wheel at the same time.
I don't have cruise control. I believe you've circled the power connection for the cruise unit which is directly underneath (a cable runs to it)
Looks like that white piece could be your check valve. Time to put that vacuum system in order! PS I recommend the Laust Vacuum Manifold: it's the brass thing on my intake where are the little vac lines attach to. Google it and a rennlist thread should come up. I think he's got a few more left
In fact, this entire collection of procedures--meant to be performed more or less in order--is a fantastic place to start troubleshooting. You'll learn a ton about the car too
