Default Are my pistons good?

Hi, I am looking at my pistons and see discoloration on them. I know that they are coated from the factory. Is the discoloration the coating coming off, or just oil staining? Should they be recoated?
Thanks for the help

The top piston skirt looks a bit strange, can you post a closer pic of that blemish on the skirt? Maybe describe the surface or texture.
How are the cylinders?

The second photo you posted is not consistent with the first photograph.
Perhaps you photographed the other side?
The skirt is the lower portion of the piston.
Can you not see some rough looking blem on the middle of the top piston's skirt?

Regarding discolouration, I wouldn't worry about it if its smooth, and the cylinders aren't damaged. but would love to hear from someone more knowledgeable.

The top piston has a wear spot, should be okay, Where is the 4th piston? With the wear pattern on the top piston you will want to check your cylinders for ovality with a bore gauge. A mechanic will have one.

How much, if any ovality is acceptable though. My spare 104mm block has less than 0.002", bores are unmarked. It's the very slight ridge at the top of the bores that makes me think I shouldn't use it as is with new aftermarket pistons.
