Have you spoken to Swan Porsche in WA? Last time I was there they had all sorts of parted out 944s/951s. May be worth a call. Private message me if you need their no. THey should be on the web. Good to see anoter 951 owner in Australia.

IIRC, In Western Australia, they let you drive LHD as long as its 15 years old.

Thats true B951S.. I have a LHD 928 imported from Japan. Rumours suggest the laws around the relative ease of importing 15 year old cars might change, as many Nissan Skylines and Silvias coming in. This would hurt LHD imports. When the government sees people enjoying themselves, they need to be do something about that

Yeah....I heard about that potential future change but could not find out what it impacted. Anyway, the more I look into the money involved and other factors, the more I am leaning towards selling my car here and getting settled in Oz. I see that oz got the proper E36 M3 with the 3.2 321hp motor and big brakes, now that would be a nice car to be in down under....

True, but wait 'til you see the price. Oz has become quite restrictive in terms of modifying cars, and in WA they take your car away for speeding, not to mention fines and potential loss of licence. A road rocket can be a worry down under. What state are you going to?

Moving to WA. Take your car away for speeding??? WTF?? Are we talking like doing a 100 mph in a 40 or something like that or what.

Actually if the offense is bad enough (seriously bad), the police can impound your car for up to 30 days here!
