Thinking about purchasing spacers to bump out my rear tires to give them a beefier look. - any insight would be appreciated.

These are the spacers:

H&R TRAK+ 35mm Hub-Centric Wheel Spacer Pair, Bolt Pattern 5x130mm, Center Bore 71.6mm, Thread Type 14x1.5, DRM Style

Search here. There is plenty of discussion (threads) about wheels/tires. Think about your goals, handling, purpose. Wheels/tires quickly turns into suspension work front and back.

Refreshing my suspension components (completely stock) and new tires really made a world of difference in the handling of my car. ’86 T like yours.

I bought these exact spacers. Using 225/50r16 all seasons on stock turbo wheels, they rubbed the fender lips over heavy highway bumps & moderate cornering. With that said, if you were to roll your fenders they wouldn't rub.

If you decide to try them, I have a pair I'd sell you for less.
