Default Disconnected Hoses, Where do they go?

Found the little hose that connects next to the radiator fluid reservoir cap.
I'll atatch pics. The opposite end of that black hose is dangling around on the bottom of the car. Will this disconnected hose affect boost?

First one is your coolant overflow hose, it is suppose to just drip on the ground if you overflow....normal. Second looks like the intake for the air cleaner. Have you replaced all your vacuum lines yet? Stop wasting your time searching around for stuff that might be affecting your boost, and start replacing some of the obvious stuff. Part of working on your own car is trial and error. Eventually you are going to find it....lots of things can affect your boost, so start replacing!

That second big pipe is probably for the alternator. There is a black hard plastic air inlet that in the lower drivers side portion of the nose. There should be a 10 in wire and fiber hose (like a plastic dryer hose) that makes a 90 degree bend upward. There it connects to a plastic shroud that covers the back of the alternator. Since the alternator is kinda tucked in there, it will run a lot cooler if that whole assembly is connected. ( a good thing)

Second big one is definetely for the alternator....feeds it air to keep it from frying.

Maybe one day you'll fix your exhaust leak eh Cyrus? Maybe then you'll get the power back.

What I thought was an exhaust leak, turned to be oil dripping on the hot exhaust parts. I'm thinking bad main seal. That's what the smoke/****ty smell was coming from. Good memory though.

Cyrus,

I just replaced my alternator cooling hose, but the generic hose I bought was double length -- the other half is yours if you want it...

No prob...

Oh yeah, the rain... It was fun picking up my tranny for my GSR, what with my 7 year-old Dunlop D40's -- have you aquaplaned your car today?
