Default Custom Oval exhaust

So I got a gtx3076 gen 2 with v bands. I was going to just make a new down pipe and modify the crossover.. but then I have always wanted to do an oval exhaust.. I know the flow isnt great and I did 3.5in.. probably should have done 4. Anyway.. 2in merg on the header to 2.5in crossover into the turbo. 3 in out to 3.5in oval back to a 4in muffler and exhaust tip. All stainless. I will post my progress here and include vems for each part, crossover, down pipe, and exhaust.l when I am done.

Oval 3.5in pie slices up to meet the 3in round down pipe... sharpies setting the gap.

Keeping it high and tight, its challenging to miss the suspension and the half shaft.

hardly a difference in flow quality from round to oval until the oval starts getting "really flat".

you should be fine, looks good.

Yes a find at a local machine shop auction. No one bid on it so we got it for cheap and then put a cheap 3 jaw chuck on. First time I have really had time to use it... makes it way easier to be consistantly, and way faster to weld. Welding is fun. Getting into position and moving stuff is a pain.

The hydraulic radius of oval pipe will impose a higher pressure drop than a round pipe. Not really a problem til the oval gets very flat..
