Thats it! Does the filter open to the atmosphere? If so that is the problem right there!

I am in Katy, Texas, just outside of Houston. I really appreciate the help. I usually read the threads , but do not post. However, this time around, I needed some actual dialogue. Hopefully, the test drive will go ok and it would have all been worth the effort.

Good luck tomorrow - let me know if all goes well!

How involved is it to rebuild (seals etc other parts?) a stock kkk turbo. Any other stuff to tackle while in there ? Not sure of turbo history but does have 150+k miles , consuming about 1quart every 1k miles , visual inspection shows oil coming from connections of exhuast ducting coming from turbo

Thanks,
Josh

Josh,
I did not do any work to the turbo itself at that time, incidentally just had it rebuild to a TO4E. Has not reinstalled yet. However, the reseal if you are leaking oil Aaround the turbo was not too difficult. There are instructions at http://www.clarks-garage.com/. Additionally, you can change out the vacuum, water, hoses etc and eliminate the old tubing under the IM.
