I took my headlights out of my 951 about 12 months ago. I put them back in about one month ago. Here is the problem. Since the install, they never properly worked. They went up but not down. Then I figured out that it was mechanical, one of the arms was hitting the frame. I fixed that and now it is worse. They go up but then right away without me touching the switch, go back down halfway. I have pulled the motor and turned it and put it back it. I am so lost on this one. I worked for like 4 hrs trying different things and nothing worked. Is there a way to reset the headlight motor? Then set the headlights down? Anyone help please, I am so lost!!

Did you try the procedure at Clark's Garage ? He suggests starting the car, turning on the headlights, then unscrewing the linkage from the motor without moving it, reposition the headlights and reinstalling the linkage. Turn the lights on and off to verify.
