Default Euro 944 turbo fenders/sidemarkers

Question for the European or ROW cars that dont have the tacky US sidemarkers...
(Sami, Joakim, Duke etc....)

Do the fenders have a indention for where the small sidemarker sits on the car? Where should I source a clear sidemarker from like the rest of you have?

Im going with a euro nose (no more US sidemarkers), clear front lenses, clear sidemarkers to sit directly in front of mouldings on fenders.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Euro fenders have an indent where the euro side marker goes.

you can pick up a copy of 911 & P-world and look in the back, you'll find lots of coloured and clear sidemarkers for sale.

I don't know if you can mount them on US fenders tho.

Also re-routing the wiring for the repeaters will be a bitch.

You'd be best of simply sending me that Euro-bumper.

Rich has it, small indent right in front of the side moulding. You might not need to have them though, the euro side markers are pretty slim anyway so it shouldn't look that bad...

The markers are same units used in 80's Euro Audis and VWs if that helps any. Prestigeparts (UK) seems to have some: http://www.prestigeparts.co.uk/porscheindex.htm

Well I was going to leave the repeaters off at first and see how it worked out w/o them. I wouldnt mind having them in hand just in case I needed or wanted to install. I think It will look slick without them and Im not real ecstatic about drilling holes in my recently painted fenders, but it may be a small lighting hazard. -thanks for the input, and nice try rich

If you can get away with not having side markers, just do it

Also since you don't have the indents, it might be a lot easier to just find a cool looking generic repeater... they all work just the same after all, just pick the nicest one

Euro cars do not have any side markers. It is a repeter or blinker or whatever it is called.
I have them installed in my US spec car (to the original location) because they are mandatory here. As Sami wrote they are VW Audi parts originally. There are dozens of different kind of lenses available which have the same shape as original ones.

Here is a "Euro side marker", it's basically the same part as used on VW Golf...

yeah, well, as Olli said, it is not a side marker, but side blinker.
Euro models do not have side markers, because it is not mandatory ..
Well, all the same, we are all talking about the very same thing.

btw, those 951Cup wheels are so

VW, Audi & Porsche shared this same blinker. Only Audi & Porsche had indent pressed into fenders. Golf II used only holes. Tommy’s, Pete’s & my US spec cars have these Golf II style holes

From my notes-

the repeaters are made by Hella, they are used on Golfs other VW of that era, don't buy the cheap ones on ebay they just break when you fit them

LH and RH are the same
4A0 949 101 @£12.00 each

bulbs are
999 631 032 90 @ £1.79 each

the wiring harness is cheap as well
944 612 103 00 @ £12 each

plus you will need the bulb holders
161 949 111 @ £4.22 each

I think the volks /audi part number is 161 949 117 A. (rabbit, golf,jetta,scirocco and audi).

Can somebody can confirm it will fit a 944/964/993 euro side marker/ side indicator / side repeater .

Merci!
