Huntley Solid Transmission Mount???
Any opinions on the HR solid tranny mount? I searched the archives and found very little. I wonder if it is worth anything and if it is streetable. I know solid engine mounts aren't, but maybe these tranny mounts are.
Thanks,
Max

Know nothing about what you are asking, but the word on the street is, he skipped town and left everyone high and dry. I spoke to a Vendor who sold him parts, who now holds a check for $ 1500.00 NSF. I also know of other vendors who would never extend any credit to him, as he had bounced many checks on them.
Don't hold your breath on getting any stuff from Huntley. Seems his reputation finally caught up with him. Many on here unfortuntely found out the hard way. I did.

There are other vendors with the same thing, more than likely with better build quality, undoubtedly with better customer service and honesty.
C(OK, I'm really going to have to close this rant soon)K

Max,
I have wondered about the solid mount, too. I believe Kokeln sells one.
Too bad about Huntley Racing. I can't vouch for all their products, but I'm very impressed with the chips and boost controller I bought there. I know what everyone means about the customer service, though.

Checkout http://www.lindseyracing.com/
They sell it, and have a very good reputation on customer service.
Here is the link to it.

I have got a solid transmission mount, I had it made by a machine shop myself.
Shifting accuracy is better under all circumstances.
Would not recommend it on a street car though. (mine is track only) Lots of transmission noise and vibration enter the cabin.

okay - does installing it have anyt detrimental affects to the car, mechanically? or is it simply a matter of reduce comfort.
Because I'd pick shifting smoothness & accuracy over comfort any day of the week.
hell I want to buy 500# springs and ditch all my soundproofing in favour of thin nomex carpet, don't care about comfrot BUT - I just want to make sure the solid mount doesn't damage the gearbox in any way...

Thanks for the info about Huntley. I didn't know that.
I think the actual Huntley guy was auctioning these. Apparently he still uses eBay in his financial exile.
