04 CLK55 or 87 951
help!
stock 04 CLK55 100% stock, 94k mi. or 87 156k mi 951 with bilsteins, 250lb front springs and m030 968 front and rear sway bars, plans for a k27-6, SFR 3” exhaust LR supporting chip and no MAF.
Tough decision. I can only keep one. What are your thoughts?

Considered by many to be one of the most reliable AMGs. Electronics and switches can still have issues but I’ve been lucky over the 30k we’ve driven it.
tie rods, sway bar end links and related; wear items need attention around the 90k mi mark mine included, but easy stuff for the mechanically inclined. My MAF sensor needed replacement as many do, again easy stuff.
Aint too too fond of the lack of an oil dipstick. Really dumb design and the trend we’re seeing with many cars today.

What is your dream car?
I would choose the f150 or CLK55 Depending on which was more family and/or work friendly vehicle. Then ditch one of those and keep the 951.
I would keep the 951 if I knew that particular 951 was qualified enough to reach my goal.
I would ditch the 951 and CLK55 if I really desired “my dream car”

Three Wheelin'
I would not recommend a beat up 951 as an everyday car, its not reliable and after modifying it with a k27/6 and no MAF, you'll most likely blow a headgasket in the hot weather. In my stable, modified cars are to be used for pleasure, not to drive to work.
The CLK55 is a dead reliable car that will always start, no matter what. So long as you have a mechanic who knows his way around those cars ( like me ) you wont have an issue.
