The purpose of your 951: daily? Track? Weekend?

I bought mine as a DE / Weekend car, but ended up driving it almost every day till the snow fell (it now sits in the mechanic's shop, waiting for new suspension bushings, and anything else she may need to be perfect for the spring)

I just got mine this past October and am using it daily. I threw some snow tires on it and it works great! Actually it's better in the snow than my MR2 that I used to drive 10 years ago.

My '87 951 is a year round daily driver as were my three previous 911s ('83, '86 &'90). All four were also used for PCA DEs. The '90 C2 & the 951 were Zone one concours winners as well, dispite the daily use. BTW I don't have a garage but I do have off street parking! All three cars were previous garage queens. What a shame. The POs never knew the joys of going out to purchase a gallon of milk...

Daily Driver. I put about 150miles / week on it. If I had room to park I would love to have another vehicle as a drive to work car but with 2 kids driving and my wife's Vue...there just isnt room in the drive. Maybe someday my kids will move out then I will have wads of room

Mine is basically a fair weather car. Sunny, warm. Its in storage for the winter. Last year I put ~2000km on the car. It's a 1986 Turbo with 70,000km(<44,000miles)

84 944 Spec Car = Race Car
84 944 = Daily driver (former concour car, but I find concour a little boring now so I might as well use it rather than letting it sit for ever!)
83 944 - Fiancee's Autocross car. I am getting her in P-cars, autocross, and learning manual. So after getting this car for race car parts (mostly tub and engine) I figured it is an excellent tool for her to learn and beat-up in autocross. I have told her many times to not worry since she can't ever "hurt" this car.
2001 VW GTI = Former daily driver FOR SALE ... Anyone want it? ... Please!

I mainly drive mine on weekends in nice weather. We will also take the car out for long road trips. We drove it down to Los Angeles over the Christmas holiday and that was a lot of fun. The 951 has the best stereo system and is the car I drive the least.

Garage conversation piece... (still sitting in the garage unfinished)
snip....I was always afraid to take it to a DE because I was not confident of the attention it received from the previous owner... so I wanted to do a few preventive repairs before a DE... since I was there... well... the rest is history and the car is still not ready.
