I have 89 turbo and I'm planning on replacing the fuel lines front to back.
Currently, I have:
25' - 5/16 cupro nickel hardline
25' - 3/8 cupro nickel hardline
1' - 3/8, sae30r14 hose (for fuel pump to filter and filter to hardline)
044 Bosch Fuel pump
Hengst Fuel filter
I'm looking for a current up to date write-up on the fittings required that can be sourced online if there is one.
I found this one http://www.renn-list.com/DIY-Fuel-Sy..._10566295.html but some of the parts I can't find online like the compression nuts p/n VS8900-L08 and the bite rings p/n VS8860-L08 that connect the 3/8 line to the 10mm and 5/16 line to the 8mm
One thing it looks like a may have to do is swap the hardlines I bought for metric lines, I didn't realize the factory lines were metric and any write-up I've found, details parts in metric fittings for 8mm and 10mm hard lines.
I'm also going to be bypassing the damper since it seems a good number of people have done this without any negative effects and it eliminates the need for an extra hose and fittings.
If anyone has any advice or additional direction that would be greatly appreciated, I will be calling a couple of local hydraulic/hose suppliers to see if I can source correct fittings from them.
