Default 944 turbo head installation

Just had a quick question. I installed a ported NA head on my 87 turbo block a few months ago. The engine is on a stand currently. Some info on the head, the head is cut down .025" so I'm using an oversized commetic gasket from Lindsey.... When installing the head I noticed that my front locating pin hole on the head had some play in it to the pin in the block. The back one was a good fit. This allowed the front of the head to pivot slightly on the back pin. So I lined up the front to best conditions and torqued it down. Is it normal for the front pin hole to have a little play in it for fitment purposes?

It's not typical for the dowel hole in the head to be wallowed out, but it's not an issue at all. The location of the head on the block won't move enough to affect anything. No worries at all.
