April fool's jokes aside, I personally most likely would not enjoy the "new" version as much; I find that cars of late are so big, bulky, heavy, small-window-ed... while being tight and claustrophobic inside.
I guess it's all the "saftey" stuff.. but.. seriously.. if the sight lines are that poor, esp in back, how does that contribute to saftey.
Not to mention the "driving from the back seat" feeling with those long dashboards.
Just look what's happened to the 911. Mind you, they are doing their best.. the sitting position is relatively "up front" compared to most vehicles today.. but.. the old one is just that much more engaging for this old car dude (hey--I still miss my 60s VW Beetles!)

^^ 2 weeks ago i got to take a 991 GT3 out onto a track and drive in anger....
great fun, very easy car to go very fast in, but you're right it felt HUGE when you got into it.
i am 6'6 and the belt line/window bottom edge was nearly shoulder height for me sitting fairly upright in the car.

The Cayman is the best handling car that Porsche makes. The GT4 is spectacular, but they do have it on a leash to keep from beating up on its older brother, but then again the GT Cup RSR is a Cayman with a 911 skin. There is a rumor running around that there is a GT4 RSR in the works.
