Default testing vacuum/pressure lines

There is a port coming out of the intake manifold between #3 and 4 intake runners with two banjo fittings. One of the lines seems to be the source for all the vacuum/pressure lines going to the FPR and etc. If I take this hose off the banjo nipple and subject it to some pressure with a handpump thingy and gage, would this be a good way to test the integrity of all the lines and connections? Or, is the pressure supposed bleed away somewhere?

This is in quest for the never ending learning curve on these cars.

The best way to test the complete intake system, is to supply pressure to the turbo inlet, because it pressurizes the everything that would normally see boost. My turbo has a 3" inlet. A 944 fuel filter is 3", I cut one in half and installed a schrader valve. It works great, this procedure is in the factory turbo manuals, I think it says to use a 914 fuel filter for the factory J boot.

Yes, I'm aware of this test; but I just would like to isolate the small lines coming off the said port for now.

Anybody?
