Durable! Good to know.

Question for installation - when I remove my stock flag mirrors, I assume there is no good way of disconnecting the wires aside from taking the door card apart or cutting them?

You need too take the cards off and that way you can get rid of the door crashbar at the same time. That is the only way to get RS /Cup style doors and they weigh a ton.

Door crashbar? Don't you need that for safety/street use?

Thanks!

Well yes if you have a crash its a good thing but I was thinking RS theme and -73 -92 -95 RS cars do not have those crash bars. So Porsche thought they were good to rid in the name of lightness. And I tell you that the hollow racy sound of a 964RS door closing is hard to beat Also my -89 Turbo Cup car do not have them so been implemented to the 951 by the factory aswell.

I have some future dreams of a RS themed 944 and loosing those bars is one of the "upgrades" I would do together with only 1 Cup car mirror like the 924 GTS Clubsport had. Super trick car by the way.

Good luck!

Hi JD, just got off the phone with the shop in CA. Unfortunately he was only able to confirm 1 new driver side mirror and "thinks" he may have a passenger used "somewhere". Asked me to give him another call tomorrow for an update. I plan to purchase the driver side and passenger as well if the used condition isn't too bad (and he can find it). I'll PM you the shop details if I decide not to purchase.

Thanks!

Now if we could only track down a 924 GTS CS door card and slider window.. then I'd really be in heaven

Replica doors are available from Poland and possibly here in Sweden but that slider window is harder. So nice!

JD - Looks like there is a pair available on Ebay. These are model number "B" instead of "D" but appear to be visually the same.

Cup Numbers:
477.857.521.D Mirror, left
477.857.522.D Mirror, right

UPDATE!

Finally was able to track down a new (in Porsche boxes) pair of 944 Turbo Cup Mirrors. Arrived today, I'll post pictures tonight and plan to put on the car this Saturday. Nothing better than new parts that have been sitting in boxes for years! Sadly, they weren't a bargain.
