Default Oscilloscope suggestions

Anyone have a specific model that will read the reference and speed sensors without blowing the bank?

Many thanks,
CJ

Try eBay, look for a Tektronix 2215/2215A, or anything else in the 22xx series.

Basically, any scope with a minimum of 15-20 Mhz bandwith and one probe is adequate.

^^^ Could get by with it. Oscope bandwidth should be at least 5X the bandwidth of the signal you're trying to measure.
7000 rpm = 116.66 revs/sec x 132 pulses/rev (speed sensor) = 15,400 pulses/sec x 5 = 77 kHz. 200 kHz certainly covers that.

I have one of these:

https://www.parallax.com/product/32220

It's essentially an educational tool, so is supported with way more tutorials and intro-level information than most, and I've used mine to look at the speed/ref wave form no problem.
