They had a bug in the software from the developer but they got the other revision installed in Daves car and it works great. There was a datalogging issue with the software - it would miss or drop down rpm while under boost. This is a laptop based system with a small piggyback. The screen that is on the tuner page seems to offer a wide range of voltage tuning to get A/F ratios almost perfect. I'll let you know,,as soon as I get my core charge and return tranny funds from 944 ecology, Stage II MAF and Mafterburner are going in.

I've always been curious... what's the point of buying a $1199 MAF kit, then spend another $499 on a tuning kit that piggybacks onto the stock ECU to "hack" the stock fuel curves, when you can get a full standalone ecu that will give you WAY better tunability for same or less money?

Rage is talking about his Simple Digital System. That is, unless he is now using something else. Not that bad to install and there is help on the board for the SDS as well as Link and Tec3. No need to go back to the installer for future mods. You can take the car to a dyno yourself. With the cheaper WideBands that are out there you can do a lot on your own.

Hi,

Actually, what we found out (Dave and I) was that he had a broken tooth on the crankshaft position sensor's tone wheel and that was not only throwing the reported RPM off but also affecting how his car was running.

Hope this helps,

MJ
