Default Ceramic coated headers

Got some brake cleaner sprayed on a LR SS header. Was black in color and now is gray in appearance. Questions are did I ruin the ceramic coat all together? Can I still use them without doing anything else to them? Can I scotch brite them and respray them with VHT or other ceramic/heat paint? Any advise would be appreciated.

Sounds like they are rattle canned to begin with. I would just re-rattle can them again. Probably VHT paint was used if they changed color. Or leave them be. Better to keep what heat you can in the exhaust pipes. The ceramic coating that LR used on mine is dark grey and cost a bit more then a rattle can job.
