Default Installing front Bilstein b6 shocks on my 951

Hey guys,
First for my none perfect English,
I'm trying to install Bilstein b6 instead of the original Sacks front shocks on my 86 turbo , problem is that the Bilstein won't fit perfectly inside the strut's sleeve I think they might be a little narrow,
now I know I need to make the sleeve shorter and also make some kind of an adapter to make the shocks fit into the sleeve. problem is ,I don't know the exact me measurements of the sleeve in order to make the adapter to make the sleeve narrower.
I wonder does anyone sleeve's diameter perhaps?

many thanks,
Nim

I think the Bilstein inserts are not for the turbo car. They are for the earlier NA 944 struts, that could be taken apart at the top with a nut. I'm fairly confident that the only upgrade inserts that are designed to drop into a 944 turbo strut are from Koni.
