Ohlins or Ledas
I've searched and searched, from street to track which shock would you recommend - Ohlins or Ledas. Comments on triple adjustables aren't needed since their designed for 4+ hours of racing. Thanks in advance.

there is a thread going on about different setups on www.968.net right now. its 9 pages long. starts out kla stuff, but goes to Leda at the end. Might be a step in the right direction...

I've been looking for a race/street suspension for quite some time.
will this be a street car or track only?
I've never heard of Ohlins what one would fit a 951?
(I found the site but parts that said what it's applicable to didn't work)
I have heard of Leda's before and I am most likely going to buy them.
My car is 90% street car but hey, it's all in how you drive it!
I really like that they are made for the 951 as it stated on 968.net
but reading that I am going to search the escort series and AFCO as well.
sorry I couldn't do much more to help!

I'm struggling with the same question...... must have Leda's....or the motorcycle guy in me says....... must have Ohlins. My Ducati has front and rear Ohlins, it is the best handling piece of equipment on the planet. I must be to familiar with that bike, maybe I better get rid of it and get something to scare me more. The Lindseys are selling an Ohlins set up, and boy is it big bucks. However, the Ledas with all the goodies is starting to look like a better deal.
Yo, Lindsey brothers, are you in there....................how 'bout a group buy for your buddy Winslow (shameless discount mongering for myself).........
anybody with me? (this is not for small budgets, not trying to be a ****, just speaking the truth this is not inexpensive).

The following is a list of all shock/strut manufactures (that I know of) with products for the 944:

After all the posts (thanks) and advice from my SoCal shops I've decided on a Leda setup (street/track adjustable), plus adding M030 968 sways fr/rr, adjustable camber plates, four wheel balance, and race alignment all for $5k.
Ohlins have a GREAT reputation but one hell-of-a sticker price. No wonder they're the choice equipment on Audi R8, Bently 24hr LeMans, Ducati, IRL, CART....etc etc.
I'm heading to Willow next weekend so I'll let you know how it turns out!!!

Even the guy's I'm dealing with say Ohlin's are a great racing setup for DE or endurance length racing, if money's no object.

If you've ever shopped for speakers at a Best Buy, Tweeters, Professional Audio installer, or a Custom place you know how hard it is to choose your system.
Shocks are very similar: the good, best, great are separated by $$$$. Koni, Leda, and Ohlins are all good but the money between them is very different. It's what can i afford.
