Jim,
I don't know the part number - I'm going to try to call them tomorrow, and I'll ask then. But I'm not seeing how the center backspace is relevant. I know the total wheel width I'm after (10.5"), and I know that I have a total of 188 mm (169 mm back space of my current wheel, plus the 19 mm gap between the inside of the wheel and the spring) to between the hub face and the spring. Bob Woodman Tires told me the backspace of the ET26's they have with a 7.5" wide inner barrel is 168.4 mm. It seems to me that the "center backspace" just gets "absorbed" into the width of the outer lip. Am I missing something?
Also, I just heard from a guy who races a 968 using 18 x 10" Enkei NT-03's at all four corners, which have a 60 mm offset, and therefore a 187 mm backspace. He says they fit without hitting the front spring, as long as he doesn't try to fit too wide of a tire, in which case he has had to add a small spacer. But I plan to run 255 tires, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I run 2.5" ID front springs and my BBS E26, E50, and E87 wheels are all around 7.2" (183mm) back space and fit without issue, even with high neg camber (over -3).
If running 10.5" rim combo and only a 6.6" (168mm) back space, I would think there is much more concern of contact with the outer fender, not on the inside (spring or inner fender liner).
Also, if not mentioned previously, be aware that most of the E26 centers require longer wheel studs due to the center thickness.

sm,
I'm actually working on a set of 17 x 10.5" 3-piece BBS E26 wheels through Bob Woodman Tires. To keep the overall tire diameter close to stock, I plan to run 255/40-17 tires.
