HELP. New car, capped lines, vacuum line routing questions.
I recently joined the 944 turbo club having owned a na 944 previously I am fairly well versed in these cars. It's an 86 944 turbo. The guy I bought it from said it was bone stock. I found this metal line capped under the hood and I wonder where it goes to.
Second there is oily muddy sludge in my intercooler pipes. What could cause this besides a worn out turbo?
Third, where does the stock fuel pressure regulator vacuum line run to, it's unplugged.
Finally there's a small vacuum/boost line coming off of the front of the turbo by the compressor inlet that is also unplugged. Where does it run?
Thank you.

1) exhaust gas test port used for adjusting CO mixture - not really needed in the US, dont worry about it
2) normal but can indicate turbo seals going south
3) should be a Y and hardline connecting the damper to the regulator, and the other leg of the Y going to the throttle body just after the throttle blade.

Have a picture of that? And/or check again to see where it is coming from... There's a braided oil line and coolant pipes on the turbo, but sounds like you are looking at something else...?
