I can vouch for the new Saratoga tops too. Purchased one in 2016 for my 86 951, and I love it. Right now it's back in the box but I kept it on for a good couple months. No issues with water, high speeds, etc.

Has anyone bought a seal from them? I just picked one up for dirt cheap and it just needs a new seal and a bit of polishing on the top.

In fact, it is down. Originally said under construction, but now it is down. https://www.pilkingtonclassics.com

http://www.pilkington.com/en/us/auto...ngton-classics Shows nothing. You used to be able to order online direct from the classics website.

Go look up Pilkington glass. Go to the automotive and pick classic It is there, because I was just on it. Don't just give up, look, things are there.

I got mine from looking on eBay. I was going to ask the seller a question when I realized I seen his name before on a site I'm on all the time.

I am going to assume you did not click those links.

There is a Pilkington classic page, but is does NOT have the Saratogas for sale. The Classics page from when the Saratoga was relaunched is no longer there. It seems they were purchased and there is some restructuring going on. Hope they keep the Saratoga for sale.

You can get a brand new one without issue. You can even ask the seller questions.

I have my top now for years and love it. No issues and the car is brighter inside and it looks great.

Today, my son and I are going out for a romp with both cars. This is what life is about, fun, driving and being happy.

Just called Pilkington Classics at 1-800-848-1351 today and spoke to a sales guy there. He says they no longer have any Saratoga tops for the electric tilt versions and only have manual ones left. So, it seems that the tops that work on later 944s and 968s are no longer available.

I was in on the group buy a few years ago for the new run of tops but never hopped on getting the updated latch kit. AMCPILOT's post above has me a bit worried about availability of these kits now...

What happens when your Saratoga top seal goes out? They told me they don't sell them separately, I would have to buy a whole new glass.

Same here- I was just on the phone with Randy at Pilkington who said they only sell the manual versions and are backordered because a certain part must be manufacturered first.

I have an '86 electric roof and am going to be scouring the web for other sources. Maybe if enough people were interested, a group buy could convince Pilkington to do another electric run.
