lexan windshield size early vs late 944/968
Looking at Five Star Racing lexan windshield. They only make for 944. I have a 968.
When I checked Porsche part #s, 94454101112 is windshield for 1987 944 thru 1995 Porsche 968.
So I assume early 944s 1983-86 have a different size front windshield.
I called Five Star and they are checking, but just say their window precut fits all 944s?
I could get oversize windshield and cut to fit but would rather have a precut windshield.
Does anyone know about windshield sizing early vs late 944s and 968s?
thanks
Dave

I think that is due to a gasket or seal that others have said is on the inside surface of the old window from 944 or 968 and has to be removed and reused as an inner gasket
From dp951 in the Pelican Parts forum post:
"all glass is the same the difference is one is encapsulated..you can remove this from your old wind shield , and secure it yo yours when you install. I have sold and replaced many if you you look at the early 944 and 924 you 'll see the glass sit lower these wind shields don't have the base gasket ot the trim to attach the out side rubber.. cost $250 to $300 at the most"

Probably less time than I spent with that $30 worth of material. I think I was 6 hours total building that framework, installing it, then drilling holes and installed the lexan windshield.
