Default 1985.5 944 Crystal Green Metallic - New Owner

Hi All,

I am the proud new owner of a 1985.5 944 in Crystal Green Metallic. It is truly a survivor car in incredible condition inside an out. Religiously maintained by the previous owner for it's 30+ years. I hope you enjoy the images.

Everything works perfectly, but the 3rd day after buying it the sunroof decided to stop popping up, any suggestions? It was perfect before and it looks like it did not quite seat properly on the back edge when closing which will cause it to not pop up? I can tell there is power to the switch so is there an easy fix?

Cheers!

Very Nice! Great color! Check the sunroof relays they are two and inexpensive. Welcome to the board.

The relay could be bad or just not pushed in, its right in the middle of the visors

We just got done refurbishing the gears/switch and torque specs on our 85.5

Plenty of knowledge our there and is a fun easy project!

The basics can be found at Clark's garage (a site you will want to know!)

Also Only 944 has good resources on the torque and replacement of the cam

Welcome to the family and happy tinkering!

Can't tell if the car has been repainted but the 944 badge isn't in the right place.

Hey bud, great buy, that color is awesome. Like Angus Shaw said www.clarks-garage.com is a life saver. You should search the whole site, but Garage Shop Manuals is the real gold.

Just an FYI: that's just a normal first-half '85. Actually, it looks like it may even be an '84. VIN should confirm.

Looks great!

Welcome CGM buddy!

Here is my CGM '86. I think your badge looks fine.
