Default 944 Cup race suspension tour

Since I have my car on my lift for some post-season work, I wanted to share some pictures of my suspension.

The car has the following:
  • 951 brakes, hubs and spindles
  • Moton 2-way remote reservoir dampers
  • Spring rates are 800 lbs front and 1,000 lbs rear (yes, very stiff. I may soften them up in the off-season)
  • Tarrett swaybars front and rear
  • Charley Arm lower a-arms
  • RSbarn lower chassis brace
  • Rear torsion bar delete, full coilover suspension in rear
  • Racers Edge spherical bushings
  • Stainless brake lines

Sweet, nice set up.
OEM sized ball joint pins or enlarged?
What size wheels / tires do you run?
How often do you make adjustments with coil over settings?
Do the helper springs on the front act as a dual rate spring set up or just used to keep the springs seated?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your Charlie arms? Used/new? And when?

19MM pins

I run 245-17 up front, 275-17 rear, maximum tire sizes allowed for my class.

The Moton set-up is new, I have experimented with adjustments on both the coilovers and swaybars in test days to get baseline set-up data but don't really mess with them much

The latter on the helper springs. I am likely going to soften the spring rates in the off-season and may consider moving to a dual rate set up

$1,500 used, bought from a fellow Rennslister about three years ago

Thanks for the response, good to know.
Hypercoil makes a few progressive spring sizes, pretty limited so I'm not sure they'll fit but might be worth checking out.
You got a good deal on the Charlie arms.

Not a bad deal.

mj951, if you're interested, I'm trying to persuade Charlie to run another batch of arms. I have a thread in the 944, 951, and 968 forums with details.
