I'm looking into installing a VEMS ECU in my '90 944 S2, but I can't figure out if its will just plug and play or what do I need? Does anyone have any info on this? If you installed VEMS on your Porsche 944 please advise where is the best place to purchase and what to get.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Send a PM to Rennlist user "Raceboy", he is the purveyor of the plug-and-play VEMS setups.
All you have to do is plug in the ECU, plug in a few wires (that he supplies) and run a vacuum line from your throttle body to your ECU in the cabin. Under an hour to do all that.
I've had mine about 1.5 years now...it is FANTASTIC.

I would be very interested to hear the real world differences between stock, a performance chip and the VEMS. I have a 944 S2 with a 9Tuning chip and it is a noticeable improvement over stock. How much more does the VEMS add if I were to change down the track?

^^see here...
with VEMS conversion (deleting the AFM and adjusting the tune), got 207whp where the S2 was originally rated 208 at crank...
