There's a video of our car doing doughnuts in the link in my profile. That was last spring, and the tire marks are still in the parking lot. Your link doesn't work. It says the file is no longer there.

Derek owns Huntley I think. From what I've heard, they don't run the Zebra car much anymore.

The 'Zebra' is on hold for now while I play with my Boxster. We have taken some very drastic steps with the chassis as you can see in the links below. Can you see what is new? Also there are some links to the distraction (Boxster).

well i can only use what as I've seen on the Huntley site as a reference point, but it appears you stiffened up the rear section of the frame (gussets on the x-member and extra bars on the cage)... and it appears you are using torsion bar rear?? I saw you had coilovers previously. And what is that intercooler doing back there?? I'm guessing you're incorporating the proper changes into the undertray to suck some air into that as well.

Let me know whats going on (looks like a fun project!) I'm definitely going to keep in touch with you... that car absolutely fascinates me! I wouldn't mind hearing a few of the secrets behind the power you made from that thing as well (hint hint)

WOW, how ironic is this, the car that you guys did donuts in was car number 69, the car I did donuts in was car number 69 (2002). You guys definitely have a better quality video clip than I do... mine was from a friend with a digital camera that can't take high-quality video clips. However... everyone should still check mine out, it's a good laugh at the least. I mean, really, how many times do you get to see a formula car doing donuts with the drivers hands in the air?!

You have to get to the links I posted to see the 'goodies' but basically the torsion tube is lightened and the original pivot points are solid aluminum with heim joints inside and outside with both raised and track lengthened pick up points. The 'intercooler' in back is actually the radiator and the front has an intercooler that is roughly 2X the size of the stock radiator and 2X as thick too. The entire chassis is set-up to run full body tunnels. The weight has been shifted to the back by running the engine 2" back from stock, placing all the engine oil in a dry sump tank in the back of the car, batter in back, alternator in back off the torque tube, driver 1' further back than stock with custom multi cylinder pedal assm.. Additionally we: placed the fuel cell to the center to minimise weight and balance changes as fuel is burned, 32 gal cell to give us 1 hour of endurance, quick fill dry break on the cell, safety exit in the roof, passenger and driver sides with punch out panels yadda yadda yadda......

Speedforce produces a SC kit for these cars which has taken a completely different approach to adding a SC to these cars. The SFR kit uses a centrifugal blower which is similar to a turbo in both the efficiency as well as the laggy response. They make more boost as the RPMs go up. Because of the size of the Centrifugal blower the A/C has to be removed. The advantages of the SFR kit are lower cost (less components required to fit the kit), good upper end power (better for track cars), easier to return to stock (no intake manifold change required). The cons are no more A/C, less bottom end HP/TQ (laggy), noisy blower. The HR kits pros are HP/TQ from off idle to redline (zero lag, great for a street car, autocrosser, drag racer), No loss of A/C. The cons of the HR kit are a little higher up front cost, not well suited to road racing.

Oh, yeah, I probably look closer at the top fitting on that to see it wasn't an intercooler and actually a radiator, lol. OOOPS... It's kinda funny, a lot of old Formula style cars (club ford, etc..) have front mounted radiators for a mid-engine placement, you guys have a "mid" mounted radiator for a front-engined racecar, lol. Intersting change... nice relocations for distribution... especially knocking the motor back, thats reminiscent of Shelby Cobras. I like it... so when can I go for a drive?? lol

Just the chassis minus engine, tranny, wheels, axles, interior etc.. basically as it sits on the rottisery $15K

yeah... thats about twice what i hope to pay for a full 951! lol.... whatever happened to the 700+hp motor that once made it fly?

Whats your email? I wouldn't mind hearing the story of the Zebra from the mouth of the builder.
