Smile Water Cooler Meet

Any one live in the Portsmouth, NH or the Kittery ME area????? Anyone who is not local would also be welcome.

I am looking to get 924 / 944 / 951 / 968 owners together for an eat and ride.

My plan was to meet at a local restaurant for a bite to eat, chat and get to know other Porsche owners. Also would make for a good photo op...... maybe if there are enough of us and we get a good gathering, I may try submit some pics to Excellence and see if we get featured!!!!! You just never Know.

After we eat I was planning to have a cruise down the local cost line (for those of you local.... I was thinking of Rye Beach, Hampton Beach etc.... I am open to suggestions) and anyone would be welcome to join me and a few of my Porsche friends.

If anyone is interested...... please email me at PorscheDriver951@aol.com

I am open to suggestions on the place to eat ( I was thinking of Bob's Clam Hut ) also the weekend to have the gathering and lastly the road to cruise.

Once I get enough replies and response... I will let everyone interested know the time and the place.

Thanks,
Paul

I'd be interested if we did something in the fall (September and beyond). Would also be less crowded then...

Thanks for the response so far......

OK this is the plan:
The Date = Saturday 9th August
The Place = Bob's Clam Hut Route 1, Kittery, ME 03904
The Time = 11am

Bob's Clam Hut has been around since 1956. In that time, Bob's has become legendary for service the best fried clams (scallops, haddock, shrimp, lobster rolls, chowder...) They also serve non-sea food items.

Not only is it a great fun place to eat but the adjoining (LARGE) Kittery Trading Post car park can be used if Bob's car park should become full.

The other thing is, Bob's is very easy to find and drive to._ North and South exits from the highway are only a couple of miles away.

As far as the cruise goes.....I am still open for suggestions._ I know of 3 or 4 great roads to travel but depending on peoples time frame and the amount of distance every one wants to travel, may depend on which route we pick.

Please email me with your suggestions and confirmation if you are going to attend.

Thanks,
Paul

Just as an after thought....... I was thinking it maybe fun to also include a 'swop' aspect in to the meet.
I know I have a few parts laying around I could swop for items I need / am looking for......

So if anyone has a few items they are looking to either sell or swop, bring them along.

Also if anyone has old issue's of Excellence they are looking to sell / swop...... I would love to take a browse. I have all issues mid 99 and up. Any early issue I would be interested in.

Thanks,
Paul

What does the count look like for this get together? The weather looks pretty iffy, too.

Maybe I'll stay home and chop the roof on my S2, right SID??
