Default turn signal blinks fast

...yep, the first thing I did was check the bulbs. They are all burning ok. The right side signals blink at least twice as fast. Here's the odd part, when I have my foot on the brake (sometimes), it slows down to normal blink speed. Has anyone dealt with this before?

That's the blinker relay. Replace and all will be fine.

You might also just try taking the offending bulb (front, rear or both) out and re-seat them. I just put a set of clear front turn signal lenses with amber bulbs on my '90 S2. Upon installation, the driver's side lights blinked quickly, as if a bulb was out, yet everything was illuminating just fine.

I took the new front bulb out, looked at the contacts and made sure it was oriented correctly when I re-seated it. Now everything blinks at normal speed.

Hope yours is that simple, too.
