Whoops...Broke my Turn Signal Shut Off...:(
Ok...I did something really stupid.
I have been having issues trying to adapt a MOMO hub to fit my
944 (Yeah, it is the wrong one, 9003?).
Anyhow, that is not the problem. The problem is, I was prying on
the hub to loosen it from the shaft and I broke the little plastic tab thingy
that is the auto shut off when using the turn signal. I have a 1987 944.
Anyhow, I can't seem to locate a part number for this tab thing. The only
thing I am finding is the whole turn signal piece. I hope I don't have to
replace the whole turn signal piece that is on the shaft.
Can anyone give me some advice on this?
Much appreciated!

I don't have an answer to your question but my car came with a momo wheel with the wrong hub and the signals do not cancel....in that case it wont matter if it is broken or not.
I am getting my factory wheel recovered to re install just to correct that issue

Steve,
I hear you, I may have to go back to the original wheel as well until I get the correct hub. Actually, my
turn signals were cancelling after installing the MOMO. The reason I was trying to remove the hub is
the steering wheel hub is too far down on the shaft, resulting in it being too tight. Right now, it is hard
to turn & making a god awful squeaking sound when turning more then 20 degrees.
I will try to fix it with a washer or maybe try a bearing of some sort. Fun times, Fun times...
But, I still need to figure out the turn signal problem, hopefully without switching out the whole
turn signal unit as they are quite pricey on E-Bay & such.

Yeah definitely not the Momo hub's fault. Mine worked for a bit... though now it only auto-cancels on right turns. Left turns I need to bump it myself.
I got a new (used) piece from Lart and broke it before I could install it. Seems the plastic just gets brittle over time.

Correct it was not the MOMO Hubs fault. I knew it was the wrong hub, but tried it anyway.
The OEM 944 steering wheel fits on the first spline (closest to driver). This MOMO hub adapter
has a larger diameter & was fitting on the larger spline on the shaft (closest to the dash), which
is why it is too tight. It is fitting all the way down the shaft.
I was told when I bought the MOMO wheel, that it was for some kind of Porsche. It was the
ladies ex-husbands stuff. Anyhow, the number stamped on the adapter is #7003.
I know I need a #7004 or #7004-1. I tried researching the #7003 on-line & came up with zilch.
Does anyone know what this MOMO #7003 adapter fits?.

OK, Seriously...Is anyone on Rennlist a MOMO Hub expert???.
I still can't seem to find what a MOMO Hub Adapter #7003 fits...
(Yes, I rechecked it...it definitely has #7003 stamped into the black metal ring part).
Anyone?...Please???
