Post 944 Wanted

Hi there,
I posted this in the classified section as well so don’t hate me if this is the wrong place to put a “Porsche Wanted” sign. I am a student looking for a well maintained 944 Turbo, 944S or 944S2 in the great lakes region, within 8 hours drive from Buffalo NY, say from DC to Chicago to Nashville and Toronto of course. Candidate vehicle must be rust free and have record of recent (within 40,000 mile) timing belt change. I would prefer a car with fewer than 125,000 documented miles and a clutch replacement in the past 60,000 miles. I will pay for a PPI at the nearest Porsche dealership to the vehicle’s location.
I am willing to pay NADA value for the car and would prefer to buy from a private owner (preferably a fellow PCA member), but may consider a dealer if he has maintenance records for the vehicle.
Please e-mail me with information and photos.
Thank you.

This car isn't a garage queen, but has NOT been tracked at ALL.

The car needs a little work (1 oil leak and the power steering pump
needs replacement) but other than that - the car is a SOLID performer
with gobs of HP and TQ.

The car is in Amherst NH, about an hour north of Boston. I've driven
the car 400 miles at a stint already in it's current state, with NO
issues.

The car is/has:

1986 Porsche 944 Turbo vin wp0aao95xgn151408. Paint is about a 6 or 7,
needs a good compounding and washing. Has come paint chips and a
scratch or two - the car was repainted by the PO. This car was driven,
as a Porsche should be.

Engine was rebuilt less than 8k miles ago. New seals, bearings (rod and crankshaft), clutch, pressure plate, needle bearings, guide tube, ported
head, huge fuel injectors, vac lines, etc. All the normal stuff you'd
see on a rebuild - plus:

Electromotive TEC-3 installation - running fully sequentially
Custom wire harness
Stage 3 turbo (Speedforce Racing) with a #8 hot house
Hard intercooler pipes (SFR)
Godzilla Blowoff valve
83 Pound injectors (Sequential fire with CAM sensor too)
All new engine sensors for the TEC unit
Blau CD radio
New Clutch 8k miles old.
Tires are like new
Come with a full set of metal master brake pads
Interior is pretty good, needs a little TLC but nothing huge. Driver's
seat does have a little wear and a little part of the tube along the seam is gone.
Strut bearings are new
Large intake and K&N filter
Turbo S tranny from an 88S with LSD and external cooler

I designed this car as a track car for me - so it's solid. I never got
it to the track though. Oh - fuch wheels. I've replaced the
waterpump, belts, and everything else that typically goes wrong with
these cars. I have spare relays, wheel bearings, and more that will go
with the car too. I even replaced the radiator and bottle on it cause
they were dirty. AC blows cold and is R-12, not R-134a. The car even has an almost complete tool kit from Porsche.

I'll work on getting pictures as soon as possible, the car has one
small dent in the driver's side area where the side marker light is,
If you didn't know it was there, it's hard to see.

Car is guards red with a linen/beige interior. Numerous spares for
interior items too. A laptop for programming the TEC unit is available
too for the car along with programs for it.

The car is tight, solid, and very fast. Scary fast. Manual boost
control set to 17psi now, car (crank the boost up) will dyno much
higher than a stock 951. Great gas mileage too for a highly modified
car. If you fix the oil leak (lower B-shaft onto crossover pipe
creating smell in the car when you idle) and throw a pump on it for the
pwr steering (pump is pumping but not ideally so it is very driveable!)
You'll have a car that should need little to no work at all for years
of enjoyment on the street.

Chris White of 944enhancement.com will help with the TEC
unit for the new owner. (Thanks Chris!)

I'm looking for around 12ish for the car, negotiable slightly for some
of the spares being removed from the package and such.

Car was PPO'd about a year ago with no issues. Car has sat since then
for a bit, except for a couple trips here and there.

If you're looking for a daily driver that's reliable with loads of power, or a new track beast, this is your car. Serious inquiries please contact me ASAP at jayc@rennlist.com.

Thanks.
