CD Addition to Porsche CR-1 Radio
My 1984 944 NA came equipped with a CR-1 AM-FM Cassette radio that appears to have the capability to add a CD player.
Does anyone know who manufactured this radio (Becker, Blaupunkt,etc) and if an aftermarket CD player can be adapted? My radio manual does not have a wiring schematic so any help in determining the proper electrical hookup, or where to find the wiring schematic itself would be greatly appreciated.

When I asked that question for my 91 944S2, the standard answer was that newer stereos are so much improved I'd be better off just replacing the whole system. I ended up replacing my cassette/deck and equalizer with a Kenwood cd/mp3 desk and am quite happy with it.
