i'm surprised to see the responses from local cab owners. i've had my car for almost 12 years and i've only seen 3 others in person during that time.
That's what I was shooting for in this thread. I am curious as to how many are still around, especially in the DC area, and what people are doing to them. Saw another one being parted out on Ebay.
Sounds like yours is about done!

If it is for the street use only I would keep stock and replace parts as needed except for maintenance items which should be done regularly. My cab was fine for the street with stock suspension that had 78K miles on it. I only upgraded because I use mine for autocross. It sounds like you should be investing in maintenance and cosmetic items. Why spend $5K in suspension work added wear on your tires if you really don't need it.

In the seven years I've had mine I've only seen 6 others in person!
There are two here in NC, two I saw in the Northeast (PA and NJ), one in Boston, and one in Colorado.
There weren't many of them imported into this country and you figure a few are wrecked, parted out, or undriveable so we do have pretty exclusive vehicles.
It's just too bad the market doesn't seem to believe that. But as long as I'm not attempting to sell it really doesn't matter what it's worth. It's the car I want and it still creates conversation for people wondering what the hell it is.

I did some mods on my former 91' cab. Had SFR vent the nose, installed a cold air kit bought from Evoms, chipped it, put on 17's from a 993 (255 Toyos in the rear, 235 up front), high pressure fuel regulator, B&B stainless exhaust, Nology hotwires, Uridium plugs (damn I miss that car...)

Any spacing issues with the wheels/tires? Whats a HP fuel regulator do for me?
Any pics?

I personally use 225s and 255s and have no issues with spacing on my car. And in my opinion the larger rubber just adds a level of aggressiveness not seen with the stock tire size.

Would love to see some pics. again, any advice for the newbie? Its just a weekend road car but want it to be a performance road car.
Plan to do:
-Water Pump / Belts
-Seals ( I think it leaks every fluid it has in it)
-968 M030 Sway Bars
-Konis
-A/C Delete (doesnt work & thats why I bought a cab.)
-Power Steering leaks but like how it drives un-connected
-re-spray front end (past owner must have lived on a gravel road)

2 nice white cabs.
turbo S meaning existing motor or boosting 16v? boost is looong term project for me. still thinking about going miketurbocab's route. but we'll see. love the wheels.
wil- see you've still been puttin' in work on that cab. nice attention to detail. you're quite a bit ahead of me, but i'm taking my time. i have the same wheels, planned on getting the gauge rings, but that's about it...and mines black.

I debated so much back and forth decided to go the semi stock route and use all the parts from a turbo S modify the engine during rebuild slighlty. It seems the best for the $$ as I know there are a lot of diff things going on but to do a proper 3.0l your looking at 20k addnl.
