Default PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!!!! wheel locks

I went to get new tires when Ii found out I dont have a key to the wheel locks. The tire store couldn't get them off. The Porsche dealer was no help, and i have been to several lock smith and they turn and run. I have no idea where to go and what to do. Can i drill them or slide hammer them out? They are a hollow lug the lock cylinder slides into the hollow lug and covers the outter part of the lug and turns either way so you cant reverse the tension on them. Can anyone help or have any ideas 1986 Porsche 944 I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

You need some hard-metal blades and a drill - like the dremel. I am supprised to hear a wheelsmith is no help -- those guys know a trick or two.. They will not let you see it but they for sure can do it.

Or there are socket removal tools. They are reverse threaded. they bite into the wheel lock when you try to take off the locks. They sell several sizes. i think I got my 3 pack from ebay for like 30 bucks. They work great. Or you can go to a pawn shop and pick up some sockets and pound them over the wheel locks then use an impact driver to remove them. that's how most tire shops take them off.

Get a punch and just put it on the cylinder. A nice strike with a BFH and knock the locking cyclinder into the hollow lug. The locking cylinder is only held in with a thin cir-clip, easy to overcome.

Good Luck!

Yep, this is what I did with mine. Too bad too, because a month later the owner sent me the key... They are some of the only non-original things I don't have.
