Well, i wouldnt drive it in winter nor is it possible in montrèal,what i found essential is keeping the car in the garage or the car just dies. Yes, it is a headach to buy the car across the border and making it adaptable for saaq regulations. I just find cars in the states are more likely to have better shape. again its a personal matter. Just that lepac the owners that sell or the dealer that asks a price that is not realistic.
In any case its going to be my new hobby, its not a rushing matter. Better wait then rush and be dissapointed.
I wanted to find out if to bring the car to a porsche dealer vs the saaq(assurance auto quebec), price wise or experiance, which would be better?
thanks

Please, whatever you do, do not buy a bargain 944. It will wind up costing you more than you can believe bringing it up. A bargain 944 almost got me divorced, and that isn't an exaggeration. Get the best one you can afford. If you can't afford or find a really nice example, pass on them.

My '86 944 NA has 237,000 mi (approx 384,000km) and runs like a top. I have had no major repairs (clutch at 107,000). Most of my work has been cosmetic, but it runs and looks great.
