944 Shift Boot - eBay?
OK, I know, I tried to save a buck and am now embarassed to let you all know I looked on eBay for part. Anyway, anyone recommend a place to buy a black leather shift boot for my '88 944? The leather boot I bought on eBay is too thick to fit under the plastic cap.

You can purchase a 'genuine' replacement from Auto Atlanta.
Won't be cheap- $406.00
They also have a 'new' one for $59.00.
Not sure how different the two are....prolly only a purist would know.

I bought one of the wheelskins shift covers from ebay and had a little trouble fitting the leather under the cap. I think I ended up using water or leather conditioner to soften the leather up a bit to fit it under the cap. Good luck!

I used a Wheelskin as well. It is a little thick; however, if you pull a little extra over the shifter you can then trim...make sure you use some good glue. Mine came out really nice. It took a lot of patience.

9x gets there's from alan gun, just as paragon does. 9x is WAY over priced for anything. Just FYI.
