1986 N/A 944 Loses power after 4k rpm
Hi all! As I stated in the title the car slows down considerably at 4000 rpm and up. It has new plugs and wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter, top end was redone recently and injectors have been cleaned and I can't find any vaccum leaks any where... It runs and idles perfectly until you get on it then it feels like it hits a brick wall, it doesn't miss or anything just a loss of power... Also I am a mechanic by trade for 30+ years, I just mainly work on domestic brands.
Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

It almost sounds like a fuel delivery issue where it can keep up until the demand is high and then it can't so gets lean. Maybe clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump?

Thanks for the help. I checked fuel pressure and it was fine so I drilled out a hole in the cat and now it's perfect! Thanks!!!! I'll order a performance cat now...
