I removed the wiper motor from the back glass of my 84
It is held in place by the shaft going through the glass, and also by two rods that slide into holes drilled
in the rear glass frame
Looking at the rods, it seems like they should both be straight, but what do I know?

Now that you have it off, get the wiper delete plug kit. All that weight hanging on the glass doesn't help the frame separation issue. They should have done it like the 928 where the motor is below in the car and moves the wiper with a pin that engaged with it.

I just looked on ebay, and the pictures there say it should be straight.
