No clutch pedal
Replaced gear oil in 85.5 944 yesterday and as I drove off after a couple of shifts clutch pedal remained on the floor and I was unable to shift. Limped the car home in first gear with some pissed off F150 behind me giving me the finger and was able to pull up on lift and kill the ignition. I don't see how changing the transaxle oil could have anything to do with this problem, but just wondering if more than a coincidence. Any thoughts as to problem? Slave or master cylinder, or other? Did I inadvertently create a problem, just another old 944 issue? Thanks in advance.

My experience is clutch slave cylinder fails before clutch master cylinder. I had difficulty disconnecting slave cylinder from piping at the clutch. The nut would not turn on the steel tubing even with mega amounts of rust buster. My fix was to use a tubing cutter in the horizontally run to separate the tubing. Reconnected tubing with steel compression fitting from McMasters. Do not remember mm size.
Then bleed the slave cylinder. It might take some pumping of master to complete bleed of circuit.
Replacing the clutch master cylinder is a b**ch, unless you can remove the connecting rod still connected to clutch pedal from the MC. I did not try it, had race shop replace that one since I was replacing the engine
