Hey all, I need help listing the differences between a 1983 and 1984 944. To my knowledge 84’ is when Porsche introduced electric moon roof and changed the steering system? If anyone could help clear up some of the main differences for me that would be greatly appreciated.

I believe 84 standardized power steering, rather than 83 having it be optional.

The vacuum reserve canister was moved from the engine bay to the intermediate cowl area. I think the rear seat latching hardware and the headlining trim above the doors also changed.

Fuel rails and hoses from the fuel pump to the rails changed, as well as the fuel pressure regulator and fuel damper.

Rear hatch remote release on 84.
